5LD03 is the delivery unit. It tests how you prepare and facilitate group learning that fits each person and carries back to work. In the current CIPD brief, you write a report and facilitate a recorded group session using resources you prepared.
| Outcome area | What it asks | Where learners slip |
|---|---|---|
| Preparation | Weigh the factors that shape a session, then prepare personalised, accessible resources. | Generic slides with no link to these learners. |
| Facilitation | Discuss facilitation methods and ethics, and how you monitor and adjust for each learner in a group. | Describing a training day instead of facilitation choices. |
| Your session | Facilitate an inclusive group activity that meets its stated objectives. | Objectives the session never visibly meets. |
| Transfer | Explain transfer of learning, assess ways to support it and the line manager's role. | Stopping at "learners enjoyed it". |
The current CIPD syllabus titles this unit "Facilitate structured learning and development activities for groups"; older briefs use "Facilitate personalised and performance-focused learning". We work from your exact brief, never a generic template.
Facilitation lives in the moment. Putting it on paper and on a recording, with evidence, feels very different.
You facilitate well in the room, but a camera and objectives you must visibly meet make you freeze.
Your learners join on Teams from different sites and shifts. You need to check what your brief accepts, then show how you kept them involved.
Your session passed, but monitoring and transfer of learning were referred. You want to fix only those.
English is your second language, so you used a tool to "tidy" your report. Now there is a tutor warning. Your report must sound like you.
Send a photo of the task. A mentor explains what your report and session must show.
Base everything on one real session. Plan it around a performance need, personalise it for each learner, keep evidence on the day, then show how the learning transfers to work.
Start with what learners must do better at work, such as handling difficult customer calls. Build the session around that.
Check prior knowledge, confidence and language first. Plan options: pairs, stretch tasks, Arabic or English examples, or extra practice.
Keep the recording, your plan and resources, learner feedback and notes on how you adjusted for individuals during the session.
Explain how learners will use the skill at work, and how line managers will support and check it afterwards.
A 5LD03 referral rarely means you can't facilitate. It means the evidence from your session is thin.
A 5LD03 fix needs detail from your session, not a new session. We show which criteria need work.
Four simple steps with a CIPD mentor who facilitates learning in real workplaces.
Send it on WhatsApp or through the form, with your deadline.
Each criterion in plain English and a fixed quote in AED.
On a call, we shape your session plan, adaptations and the evidence to collect.
Comments on your own report and session evidence, mapped to each criterion.
How to check us first: send your 5LD03 brief for a free check and get a fixed written AED quote. No payment is needed to ask. You keep the session plan notes and a feedback note mapped to each criterion. Read how we verify learner reviews.
We guide and review; you write and submit your own work. Your report and session must be your own, and undeclared AI-written text is malpractice, so we never write answers for you.
An L&D mentor with facilitation experience, working around UAE and GCC hours, including Ramadan timings.
You book online sessions on WhatsApp or video. We work on UAE time (GMT+4), with evening and weekend slots for the GCC, the UK, Africa and South Asia. If you facilitate across countries, 5LD03 gives you strong material: time zones, languages and camera-off groups are real facilitation choices.
Say you facilitate for a team in Riyadh, Karachi and Lagos. 9am in Lagos is 11am in Riyadh and 1pm in Karachi. Your 5LD03 report can explain why you split the group or recorded a recap, and what that did to participation.
The current brief asks you to record your session, so check whether your centre accepts online delivery for it. Get learners' consent to record first. Your quote is fixed in AED, with payment options listed in it.
