Quick answer: Follow your brief first. If it supplies a case organisation, analyse that one and stay within its facts. If you can choose, your own employer gives richer evidence, as long as you keep it confidential.
| Option | Why it works | Where learners slip |
|---|---|---|
| Supplied case | Everything is on the page, so there are no confidentiality worries. | Adding details from their own job that the case never mentions. |
| Your own employer | Real policies and data make analysis authentic and recommendations practical. | Pages describing "how we do things" with little critical evaluation. |
| A UAE scenario you know | Emiratisation, multinational teams or DIFC and ADGM employment rules give strong local context. | Using UAE context when the brief asks for a UK setting. |
Anonymising is normal and ethical. "A UAE-based hospitality group with around 800 staff" gives context without naming anyone. Never include colleagues' personal data.
Most cases hide two or three key issues. Spot them and planning gets easier.
You read the people well but can't name the model that explains them. We pick two or three per task.
We show exactly where to swap generic statements for case evidence. The rewriting stays with you.
Reading dense English at 10pm is tiring. We pull out the key issues together.
Your company paid and the date is fixed. We plan every task backwards from it.
Send the case and brief. A mentor points out the key issues for each task.
Quick answer: Summary repeats the case. Analysis explains what the facts mean, why they matter and what should happen next. Find the key issues, apply a model to each, use case facts as evidence and reach a judgement.
Read for the story, then reread with the brief. Mark numbers, quotes and signs of tension or change.
PESTLE suits context, Schein or the cultural web suit culture, and Kotter or Lewin suit change. Choose the few that fit.
Open each answer with your point, then back it with one or two case facts. Label any reasonable assumption clearly.
Test the model against the facts. Where does it explain the case, and where does it fall short? Then commit to a view.
These slips are about discipline, not knowledge.
A trained second reader before submission is calmer than a referral afterwards.
Join at any stage, including after a referral.
The case or a note on your own organisation, the brief, unit code, deadline and any feedback.
A plain-English note on each task, the key issues and which facts fit where, plus a fixed AED quote.
On a call, we agree the models per task and sketch the argument for each answer.
Comments per answer, mapped to the ACs, plus a referencing check and notes on unclear English.
Unattributed AI text is malpractice under CIPD rules. We guide and review; you write and submit your own answers.
You receive a key-issues note per task, a model plan and AC-mapped comments on your answers. Before you pay, get a free brief check and a fixed written AED quote. No payment is needed to ask. See how we verify learner reviews.
Case tasks are common in context, culture, change and employment relations units. Writing it up as a report? See CIPD report writing help. To see a case analysed criterion by criterion, study the 5HR01 Go Quest case study example or the 5HR03 Eco-Insulate UK case study example.
Send the case tonight; a mentor marks the two or three key issues for each task.
Quick answer: If the brief lets you choose, use an organisation you know well in your own country. We help you pick it online. Use UK law where the brief expects it, and your own workplace as the applied example.
Your employer in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman or Bahrain. Saudisation (Nitaqat) or Qatarisation targets give real context. Use local labour law only where the brief invites it.
When the brief or case is set in the UK. Learners in Ireland check whether their centre accepts Irish law. A UK-set case stays in the UK context, wherever you live.
Choose a workplace with visible people issues: an IT firm in Bengaluru, a bank in Lahore or a family business in Colombo. Anonymise it.
Pick a public organisation in Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, Malaysia or Singapore with annual reports, and label any assumptions.
Case breakdowns arrive in writing, and planning calls run on UAE time (GMT+4) in evening and weekend slots. Your fixed AED quote lists the payment options.
